San Francisco International Airport Museums
The International Terminal at SFO was the venue for the largest exhibition of vintage luxury ocean liner art and artifacts ever presented on the West Coast. Featured was an array from that icon of Art Deco, the pre-WW2 superliner, SS NORMANDIE. Objects ranged from stunning silver services and furniture to historic ephemera and kitsch. There were dozens of photos, photomurals and travel posters-even a large screen video presentation.
"A phenomenal collection of artifacts from the NORMANDIE…
the full details of this fantastic collection and fantastic luxury ocean liner."
